Our amazing team of presenters
Without them this station would not exist...
Daisy WeldinHi I'm Daisy, the youngest presenter here at Lyme Bay Radio, currently in year 12 at the local school. I first came here on my work experience two years ago and loved it so I came back; now I produce a new show every two weeks. I play all the newest songs along with my own personal favourites as well as weekly suggestions and interviews (so make sure you get in touch on our social media for shoutouts or ideas)! Hope you can all join me on my next show. .

Chair, Station Manager and Presenter
Lisa has a passion for community radio and joined LBR in 2021 as co presenter of The Saggy and Sage Show with friend Janette Edmonds. Together they interviewed lots of women, discussing topics including the menopause, misogyny, social anxiety, empty nest syndrome and many more. Often doing ‘live streams’ from the sea in Lyme Regis! Later in 2021, Lisa launched The Lisa Galvani Radio Show with co-host Ashley Kellet. The show aims to showcase unsigned independent artists. A show that is still going strong. Together they have interviewed over 120 local singer songwriter musicians from all over the South West and across Europe and the USA. In 2022, The Coast2Country Show was launched. Lisa grew up listening to country music. A real family favourite and so to bring this to life in a radio show was a dream come true. In 2023, Lisa became the Station Manager. She oversees the operational day to day running of the radio station, including the recruitment of new volunteers, ensuring a mix of locally delivered radio show content, representing the cultures and interests of the local community. As well as ensuring compliance with broadcasting standards. In 2024, Lisa became the Chair of the new CIC radio station. A real ‘Jack of all Trades’. |
Eileen presents the harder side of house as the Governess on Late Nite Lyme. Born and raised in South Africa, her love of dance music started back as a child, listening to late night 90s weekend radio dance shows and recording sets on an old tape cassette recorder.
When not dabbling in all things techno and house music, you will find her detained in the panic room which she co presents with her other half and fellow ranter Matt. Although not based within the local community, Eileen and Matt love a good trip to Lyme Regis and are avid supports of LBR and the local activities. |
RiDDimCheF began spinning reggae and funk in 1979 when along with Roy Longbottom he formulated the Joe Average Sound System. The sound became a big hit at parties and pubs in the Clacton area.
Around 81 they secured a residency at the Westcliff Hotel playing soul, jazz, ska, beat and blues on Friday nights and promoted live RnB and Psychobilly bands on Saturdays. This lasted 3 great years until the hotel eventually closed for redevelopment. RiDDimCheF moved to London, then Coventry still playing reggae, RnB, funk and soul. A residency in Coventry for 4 yrs led to gigs in Birmingham and Leicester. After a spell working as a researcher in radio and a stint playing in Soho , he moved to Dorset and now spends much time in the Gambia where he is forging musical links and planning to relocate. Still passionate about black music I have a show on Lyme Bay Radio The MOBO Zone “ An eclectic mix of beats and rhythms old and new. Fun and informative. Primarily a music driven show. |
Matt was born and bred in West Suffolk, not far from the home of his radio hero, John Peel. Music and the charts has always been a passion, sometimes obsession of his and realised his need to put it to good use when joining LBR in 2020 presenting a variety of shows from 80s and Punk to Rock and Metal.
Matt has interviewed some of the most influential stars of the last 50 years for LBR from Glen Matlock and Wendy James to Ian McNabb and Skin as well as up and coming bands like The Warning, Mason Hill and The Hot Damn. In 2023, Matt launched the biggest music project on radio with a view to charting every single song of which ever made the singles chart since the very beginning. The Complete British Hit Parade will run well into his retirement… |
Nick BeardwoodLifelong Everton fan born in Liverpool.
So zero sense and a sprinkling of humour. 45 odd years in London then 20 years in Charmouth, Dorset. Interests: family, sport, music and fair play. According to my wife I have over 10,000 friends and hundreds of besties. My enduring good looks have been the bane of my life and yet modesty, probity and integrity are my two biggest fears. Other than the above I really have very little to commend me. Carpe Diem |

Main claim to fame is that I am the oldest presenter although that may not be immediately obvious and have been at the station since it all began. My musical tastes and sense of humour can be questionable at times apparently but at least I have them.
Several shows are my fault including the Friday drive time show snd the famous Bay Lives and Soul Kitchen. My previous life as an airline pilot in no way prepared me for the fame and fortune of being a radio presenter but I’ll take it where I can get it! Love doing it though and enjoying the challenge of entertaining the great British public! |
DJ Max in the mix with a little bit about myself and my shows
Music has been in my blood, and some of my first memories were standing behind the decks in the early 2000s and helping my father with his sets. Now 20 years on from those memories, I'm still in the industry. With 10 years personal experience in djing private wedding, party and discos. In that time, I have broadened my horizon to all genres of music, from the 60s all the way to now. From 90s dance all the way to heavy metal, and my radio show, Love it to the Max reflects this. I have been with Lyme Bay Radio from the first meeting, and back then, I knew nothing of radio, and now coming up to 4 years on Lyme bay radio. My show has never changed. Your show, your way. If we have it, I will play it. |
Gary EdgintonSports mad 62 year old northerner, originally from Nottingham and moved to Devon in 2014. A bang average cricketer and footballer but a steady snooker and pool player even though the eyes are fading.
Supported Nottingham Forest all my life and Nottinghamshire CC, forthe past 20 years I have been a member of the management committee of the Gunn & Moore South Nottinghamshire CricketLeague in for which the last 9 years I have been the Media Officer forthe league. Co-ordinating the results and league tables through ourFacebook group. In December my wife and I moved to Uplyme and am hoping to help our local cricket club in any way possible they see fit. My hopes for theshow are to showcase local sports teams and individuals which will be able to promote sport throughout the region. I want to make to the show inclusive to all sports in the area not just the usual ones covered for example there are plenty of sports which never seem to get any coverage, that must change if we are to honour our commitment to be inclusive. Finally I am a great believer in taking advice so any ideas you the listener have then please contact me. |
